Texas
Fishing charters and party boats leave out of nearly every port city in Texas.  So
next time you visit Texas, or if you are a resident, don't overlook the possibilities that
exist in the state.
Near Coastal
the very popular redfish along with, tarpon, speckled trout, black drum, red
snapper, sharks, and snook all can be caught in the shallow waters of this gulf
state.  Wading is actually an option for a number of these species depending on
time of year.    
Off Shore
Texas is an awesome place to fish offshore.  Most people don't realize that when
you get out past the mud stained waters around Houston and Galveston that there
are Wahoo, Tuna, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Cobia, Tarpon and even
Sailfish.  
Fresh Water
Texas offers a number of opportunities to fish the fresh water.  A number of species
inhabit Texas fresh water including huge catfish, bass, crappie, bluegill, and even
trout in some areas.
